Guy Maslen (Chief Operating Officer)
Guy Maslen has been appointed as Chief Operations Officer at GLOBE Claritas. Guy has worked with the GLOBE Claritas team since 2000 in a variety of roles, and has been the GLOBE Claritas Operations Manager since 2008. Prior to joining GNS, Guy worked for both Veritas and CGG in Europe in a variety of roles, including onboard processing and 2D/3D preSDM projects.
Jonathan Ravens (Senior Software Developer)
Jonathan is the lead developer and architect of GLOBE Claritas. He has an MSc in Geophysics from the University of Durham and has led the development team since 1985. His over 20 years of real word experience in land seismic processing ensures a strong end-user focus that produces the results geophysicists are looking for in a way that is intuitive, and fun.
Mark Henderson (Research and Development Geophysicist)
Mark has joined the Claritas team in 2011 and was previously at Victoria University Wellington. He is working on some exciting new developments for Claritas within the Research and Development role.
Rand Huso (Software Developer)
Rand joined the Claritas team in late 2008, and brings a wealth of experience in Agile software programming. Rand has two decades of experience as a certified software engineer working with agile teams to design and implement systems and applications for a variety of platforms in Java and C / C++.
Chris LeBlanc(Software Developer)
Chris has an honours degree in Earth Sciences from Dalhousie University in Canada, where he also worked as a research assistant for several years. He has experience in acquisition, processing, and modelling high resolution Ocean Bottom Seismometer data. In addition to code development and maintenance, Chris is primarily involved in porting the application to other environments and is the first point of contact in the GLOBE Claritas team for technical support.
Dr Derek Woodward (Software Developer)
Derek is a former GNS Science Geophysicist who is an expert in seismic reflection processing, mathematical inversion techniques, seismic anisotropy and software engineering. He currently works for GNS Science on a contract basis and is primarily involved in further developments in 2D and 3D migrations.
Andy Juniper (Seismic Processing and Software Testing)
Andy was previously with CGG-Veritas in the UK before joining the Claritas team in 2007. He has 20 years processing experience in 2D/3D marine processing. Andy contributes to our processing and training services, and is involved in our software development, support and testing.
Dhiresh Hansaraj (Technical Sales Advisor)
Dhiresh has worked for GLOBE Claritas on and off since 2009, most recently in 2010 through a partnership with his (now concluded) business venture, Black Mountain Seismic. He has an MSc in Geophysics from Victoria University of Wellington, and has just returned to New Zealand full time after 18 months fly-in/fly-out as an Exploration Geologist in Central Queensland, Australia. Through his recent positions, Dhiresh has gained valuable experience in multi-client environments and brings this knowledge to his role as a Technical Sales Advisor.
Marijke Willemse (Technical Sales Geophysicist)
Marijke joined us in 2010 as a support specialist. She has recently moved into her new role on the sales team. Her new role includes technical marketing and sales support, and development of technical sales material.
Keleigh Jones (Support Specialist)
Keleigh has recently completed her PhD in Physics at Victoria University of Wellington and contributes to our support helpdesk, providing technical advice and problem solving.
Kirsty Hunt (Team Administrator)
Kirsty provides administrative support to the team including organising conferences, documentation and is responsible for maintaining and updating the Claritas websites.
As well as these core team members, the Claritas team benefits from close collaboration with scientists in the Hydrocarbons and Oceans sections of GNS Science.
